Policy statements

Data Protection - In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act the information supplied to the York Model Railway Show may be held and used by the Show Management for the purposes of business, administration and statistical analysis. We will never sell or transfer your details to third parties for marketing purposes.

Exhibitors and Traders should note however that their names will be included on the web site and in the Show Guide unless they specifically indicate to the contrary.

Equal Opportunities Policy - The organisers of the York Model Railway Show state that there is no discrimination on the basis of age, gender, sex, disability or racial origin. All persons are welcomed at the Show and to assist in it's organisation. As far as the actual web-site is concerned please report any issues discovered with readability of the content, accessibility by speech browsers etc., to the Webmaster (John New) so that corrective action can be made. 

Lost property. The YMRS Information Stand during the show will receive and hold lost property and make appropriate announcements via the "Racecourse tannoy" system to try to reunite property with owners. If the item is unclaimed, but we are able to contact the owner from details available, this action will be taken in order to arrange an acceptable outcome. All other lost property items will be passed to the Racecourse at the end of the Show on Monday. 

Lost property temporary contact number – If you get home and think that you lost something whilst attending the show please ring or text the Show Information Desk on 07866 526 639 (Mobile) during show hours (answering message service available overnight).  The same mobile phone number may also be used for this purpose for a few days after the show closes.

Update policy - The relevant pages relating to each year's show are updated regularly. For the latest lists see Demos/societies | Layouts | Traders. The organisers of the York Model Railway Show aim to keep this web-site current and accurate. However from time to time errors and omissions may creep in. All confirmed exhibitors and traders with related web sites discovering they have not been linked to, and any reader finding an error on the site please contact us so that we can investigate and correct such omissions and errors as rapidly as possible.
